So, this isn't my first time building a Hackintosh, I have done it a few times before. But this is the first time I have done a X build and oh boy is it harder! Fortunately at this point I have gotten most things down I think! There are 2 main issues I need fixed. So in my case, this motherboard has Thunderbolt 3 and the controller all built in.
I have made sure my BIOS settings are what they need to be and have experimented but to no end. Any help figuring this out would be greatly appreciated! I made a quick small video showcasing the problem here:.Fritz bot
As you can see, when I press Sleep in High Sierra, it looks like it shuts down or goes to sleep instantly. But it just goes to a black screen, then dark, and nothing I do on the music and keyboard changes it.Wasmo somali naagaha buuran
I have to reset the computer for it to respond again. Im not sure if the computer did actually go sleep and I just couldn't wake it or it indeed just crashed and need to be restarted. The 3rd issue isn't really that big of a deal but any insight is appropriate of course. How do I change that to what I actually have? I tried doing it through Clover Configurator but nothing happened or changed.
If there is any information I forgot or skipped please let know and I will get back to you. Can you give me your EFI folder?

In this section, I will go over some common boot flags and their uses. If your computer hangs on a specific line of the verbose output, you can Google that line for more information about it. If you are asking for help because your computer will not boot, it is good practice to take a picture of your verbose output and post it along with your question. Secondly, safe mode can be useful for recovery purposes. If you install a kext that breaks your system, you can boot into safe mode and remove it. If you are having issues booting your computer, you should generally try safe mode just to see if it works, and because debugging a running computer is a lot easier. Try this flag if your computer cannot sleep, or cannot wake from sleep. Note: your computer must be able to sleep through a DSDT or native means before this will make any difference.

It can be used if you wish to use integrated graphics in conjunction with an Nvidia 6xx or 7xx card.

I travel a lot and it is important for me Sleep problem - Hi all, I had a fully functionning Hackintosh setup running Mojave I've installed it but since then, the sleep functionnality isn't working anymore. Constantly losing signal to monitor after waking from sleep I have been having this problem for a while, I replaced the monitor and had the same issue. No worries, here will tell you how to fix your Mac not waking from sleep on macOS After installing the macOS In another variation of this issue, the Mac might take far too long to wake up.
In other cases, it takes multiple clicks of the mouse or keyboard buttons to wake the Mac up. The Sleep and Wake activities of Macs are normally regulated by user settings, app activities, connected devices and networks. The first thing to do when you notice the sleep and wake functions of your Mac are malfunctioning is to see if there are certain settings that may have triggered this development.
Note that the hibernation mode is only a preventive measure to prevent the loss of data during a loss of power, you might be able to do without its intervention.
To turn off the hibernation mode, run the following commands in the OS X Terminal:.
Sleep Problems - Catalina
These two commands disable the settings of the hardware responsible for the hibernation mode. Another way is to run the commands again, this time replacing the "0" with "1". A glitch may impede the storage and retrieval of file contents on the hard disk during hibernation, causing conflicts between full disk encryption protocols like FileVault, which in turn prevent the authentication and loading of hibernation files, leading to a crash as the system wakes up. To resolve this, disable the full-disk encryption protocols, and re-enable them if the hibernation works fine after the disk is fully decrypted.
When the system figures that a hibernation file files written on the hard disk by the hibernation function is missing, it recreates the file. But if it does so erroneously, it might damage the file, preventing reading from the system when waking up.
To fix, force the system to recreate the files again by the run of the following command:. Get from App Store. Get it on Google Play. Tech Specs. Free Trial. Buy Now. Elise Williams. Learn More about PDFelement.

I was experiencing the same thing, the session would lock, but the screen would not sleep. Setting the display sleep as low as it could go and selecting "Lock Screen" from the Apple menu would lock the screen, and after a short time 30 seconds, maybe a minute it would try to turn off the two displays then immediately turn them back on.
Every 30 seconds or so it would repeat the cycle. Moving the keyboard from the Cinema Display to the Mac Pro itself resolved the problem for me. Apparently, something in the display sleep triggered a USB event that the keyboard responded to, and the Mac would interpret the keyboard's response as a wake-up.
